The difference between large and small motorcycle racks mainly lies in their load-bearing capacity, structural design, functional use, and aesthetics.
Load bearing capacity: This is the core difference between the two. Large shelves usually use stronger materials and structural designs, with much stronger load-bearing capacity than small shelves, and can safely carry heavier items such as large suitcases, toolboxes, or agricultural products. Small shelves are designed to carry lightweight small items such as backpacks, raincoats, or small supplies.
Structural design and support points: Large shelves often replace the original pedals of the car, with a larger structure, more support points, and closer proximity to the sturdy parts of the vehicle, resulting in better stability. The small shelf structure is relatively compact, usually installed under the rear of the car, with support points concentrated under the seat cushion and shock-absorbing screws, and limited load-bearing capacity.
Functional use: Large shelves are more suitable for long-distance travel, cargo transportation, or commercial purposes (such as transporting goods) due to their strong load-bearing capacity. Small shelves are more focused on the lightweight storage needs for daily commuting or short distance cycling, such as carrying rain gear, toolkits, etc.
Aesthetics and vehicle compatibility: The appearance of the large shelves is rough and powerful, which can enhance the cargo image of practical motorcycles; Small shelves are more exquisite and flexible, and are more coordinated with retro or streetcar style models.
In addition, large shelves often have protective functions, such as providing support when the vehicle flips over, preventing the body from directly pressing the rider, and providing insulation protection near the exhaust pipe
